Happy Valley Community Crossroads is a neighbor driven project designed to bring neighbors together around a common, positive project. The project: painting a mural in the middle of a neighborhood intersection (similar to this photo). This borrowed idea represents a desire to overlap our lives with our neighbors; it will beautify our neighborhood, bring neighbors together, calm traffic, and simply be a good time.

This borrowed idea represents a desire to overlap our lives with our neighbors; it will beautify our neighborhood, bring neighbors together, calm traffic, and simply be a good time.
Looking negatively at the Happy Valley neighborhood, one might find neighbors grumbling about noisy/messy WWU students, fast drivers on side streets, and overzealous "partyers." But does this define our neighborhood? No! Looking at the grievances of traffic, noise, and trash of Happy Valley through the positive lens, instead of resignation one sees hope. One sees isolated neighbors coming together around a common cause; one sees neighbors working with/alongside neighbors, sharing life.
So join us! Join us in building into our great neighborhood! Join us as we build more connections together! Join us in beautifying our community!
